My Private Koi Pond Class

A brand new day, a brand new week.

Over the weekend, I ran a private koi pond class for 3 lovely ladies. The last time I conducted a 3D jelly koi pond class was probably almost 2 years ago! I have to be honest that I was a little nervous, not because I didn’t know what I was teaching, but I wanted to make sure that the class flowed as smoothly as possible.

For this class, the students learnt everything they needed to know in creating a realistic koi fish, crafting a lotus flower and water lilies. I picked the bold colour red for the lotus even though it wasn’t a conventional colour for this flower. However, the results were simply amazing! We ended the day on a high note with everyone feeling stoked with their work. Mission completed and I was a happy teacher.

At Home with Siew Heng

A very good weekend to my dear friends from around the globe. I hope all of you have had a fruitful week. Be it creating lovely jelly pieces or spending time with family.

Things have been buzzing lately for Jelly Alchemy, especially with the new YouTube channel. As a mother, a wife and also a jelly artist, it has never dawned on me how challenging it can be to juggle between these roles.

I am however very happy that over the past week, I have finally managed to launch my very own beginner’s online video course which I have been wanting to do for the longest time.

It may also come as a surprise for many that the actual post production was not pieced together in Australia but with my multimedia specialist Derek, who resides in Singapore.

Anyway, let’s get back to the real purpose of this post. I wanted to share with you that I will be putting up a video where you will be able to see me at home creating an actual piece of jelly cake for a customer, hence the title “At Home with Siew Heng”.

I wish all of you a wonderful weekend and enjoy the video.
